Ears for the Surface Tablets

On the Ears for the Surface Tablets project, I designed and produced custom accessories that enhanced usability and functionality. I managed every step of the process, from prototyping and testing to coordinating manufacturing and quality control. By streamlining production and handling logistics, I ensured each backer received their product on time, overcoming setbacks and challenges to deliver a high-quality, reliable solution.

Rapid Prototyping

To ensure a quality tight fit. I used 3D printing to prototype and refine each size of Ears, before production. By testing and adjusting designs in real time, I reduced errors and improved efficiency. This hands on approach turned complex design challenges into precise, manufacturable solutions.

Project leadership

I managed my Kickstarter project from concept to delivery, providing consistent updates and engaging directly with supporters. Through careful budgeting, marketing, and supplier coordination, I ensured efficient production and on time fulfillment. Ultimately doubling my original funding goal.

Contract integrity

Quality driven and uncompromising, I built strong supplier relationships in China through enforceable, legally binding contracts. Not handshake deals or “guanxi.” By insisting on clear terms written in Chinese law, I earned the respect of manufacturers who negotiated every detail seriously. The result was consistent performance, with no shipping delays or quality issues across any project.

Never give up

I managed order fulfillment for my Kickstarter backers, personally packaging, labeling, and shipping Ears worldwide over two intense days, including completing customs forms. Despite setbacks, delays, and unexpected challenges, I stayed hands-on and saw the project through to completion, ensuring every supporter received their reward.
